MAJOR UPDATES

Additional counties welcome to show in the junior breeding heifer, purebred, and cross-bred gilt divisions.
Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Comal, Concho, Coryell, Crockett, Dimmitt, Edwards, Frio, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hamilton, Hays, Irion, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Lampasas, La Salle, Live Oak, Llano, Mason, Maverick, McCulloch, McMullen, Medina, Menard, Mills, Reagan, Real, San Saba, Schleicher, Sutton, Tom Green, Travis, Upton, Uvalde, Val Verde, Williamson, Wilson, and Zavala

There will be 12 market goat classes and 4 weight divisions. Goats placing 1-4th will be eligible to sell in the Hill District Youth Auction.

Gilt Rule Updates:
All gilts must have been farrowed between June 1- September 10th of previous year. 

- Pure bred gilt classes will be broken by weight within each breed. Gilts must weigh 15 lbs of their official turn-in weight. 

The top 20 placing turkeys (10 toms & 10 hens) are eligible for added premiums/scholarships. Exhibitors will only be only allowed premium/scholarships for one qualifying placing.  

2024 Hill District Grandstand Rule Book

Entry Information

Each exhibitor will have to enter online. Families with multiple exhibitors will need to complete the online entry process for each exhibitor individually. Entry fee is $35 per head (limit 2 head per market show). 

The entry deadline for the Hill District Grandstand Show is December 1, 2023. CEAs & AST need to have all Hill District Grandstand Entries approved for their club/chapter by midnight December 8th. 

 

​Late entries will be accepted from December 2, 2023 through January 1, 2024 for $100 late fee.

Entries may be completed on the day of arrival for each respective division for $250.00 per entry.

The Hill District Grandstand Show will not host the traditional State Jr. Angora Show. For more information about the Texas Junior Angora Goat Show please contact Dr. Speck.

Youth that are good standing members of their 4-H or FFA club/chapter from the following counties...
